Statement of Faith
(a) We believe in the divine, verbal and plenary inspiration of the Holy Scriptures as originally given, their consequent inerrancy and infallibility and, as the Word of God, their supreme and final authority in faith and life.
(b) We believe that the whole counsel of God concerning all things necessary for His own glory, manβs salvation, faith and life is either expressly set down in Scripture or by good and necessary consequence may be deduced from Scripture: to this nothing at any time is to be added, whether by new revelation of the Spirit or by tradition of men.
(c) We believe in one God existing in three co-eternal Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(d) We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of Mary when she was a virgin and is true God and true man.
(e) We believe that man was created in the image of God, but sinned through the fall of Adam, thereby incurring not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and become sinners in thought, word and deed.
(f) We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died a propitiatory and expiatory death as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that all who repent of their sins and believe in Him are justified before God on the grounds of His shed blood.
(g) We believe in the bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His ascension into Heaven and in His exaltation at the right hand of God, where He intercedes for us as our High Priest and Advocate.
(h) We believe in the personal, visible and imminent return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
(i) We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to convict and regenerate the sinner, indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service.
(j) We believe that Christ instituted the Sacrament of Baptism and the Lordβs Supper, which shall be observed by His Church till He returns.
(k) We believe that salvation is the gift of God offered by grace and is received by man only through personal faith in the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Genuine salvation is manifested in a pattern of life that is pleasing to God which includes confession before men.
(l) We believe in the eternal security, bodily resurrection and eternal blessedness of the saved; and unbelievers will be raised from the dead to be judged by God.
(m) We believe the church is a spiritual organism comprising all who truly believe unto salvation, whatever their affiliation with organized Christianity. Christ himself is the head of the church which is his body, and members are responsible to him for personal growth, for mutual care and for witness to the world.
